Antarctic Hypocrisy (And A Very Big Mess)

You may have seen the headlines about a cruise ship sinking in the Antarctic Ocean. Yes, you heard that right - a cruise ship, by Antarctica.

If that seems like an odd combination to you, it should. This ship was not on a pleasure cruise; instead, it was full of eco-warriors looking for evidence of global warming. The owner, Bruce Poon Tip, is an 'acolyte' of Al Gore and a big global warming fanatic.

Just a couple of observations to consider here. First, I find it incredibly amusing that a ship searching for evidence of global warming sank after hitting an iceberg! Second, where are the pictures of oil-soaked birds? There had to have been thousands of gallons of oil and diesel fuel released into the ocean, so why hasn't there been any coverage? The only place the actual details of this story was even broken was in a Canadian paper.

Anyone want to bet we won't see any coverage at all of how much damage was done to the environment by this environmentalist's ship? I didn't think so.

There's my two cents.
