Sharif Returns To Pakistan

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, returned to Pakistan yesterday. This is big because Sharif was the man ousted by Musharraf eight years ago, a man who enjoys enormous popularity with the people of Pakistan, and the man who has not offered to cut a deal with Musharraf. Sharif ignored the U.S.'s request to not detonate a nuclear bomb back in 1998, when Pakistan joined the nuclear 'club'. Sharif is already organizing protests against Musharraf's rule, including a potential boycott of the upcoming election, which many Pakistani's regard as illegitimate.

Just passing along the latest.

There's my two cents.
