Some updates on recent stories I've posted about:
Another plant has been uncovered at the CNN/YouTube debate, this one a former CAIR intern.
The British teacher/mother in Sudan who was arrested for naming the class teddy bear 'Mohammed' was sentenced to 15 days in prison. Some might think that's harsh (including myself), but it could have been worse. Apparently, thousands of 'Islamic fanatics' are marching through the streets with knives and clubs demanding her execution. How's Islam looking now?
Iran is still cracking down, this time on rap music. Ahmadinejad is taking censorship to a new level, apparently.
Vladimir Putin, President of Russia, is planning to use coercion and manipulation to rig Russia's election in his favor. It appears the Russian leader isn't even being discrete about cheating. Watch out for this guy...he's clearly power-mad.
The Annapolis peace talks apparently resulted in a positive step forward - both Israel and Palestine have agreed to the goal of reaching a peace deal with U.S. support in 2008. Questions abound and many Israelis still fear giving up too much, so it's far from a done deal, but apparently both sides are serious about getting something done. Pay attention, this is history in the making.
Now you're current!
