Pelosi: It's Illegal To Make Your Employees Speak English

Believe it or not, it's true.

John Fund reports in the Wall Street Journal that Nancy Pelosi has promised to remove protections for speaking English from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission piece of a commerce bill coming through the House. The politics of why are a bit muddled, but the point is the same: an employer cannot require an employee to speak English.

Does that make sense to you?

Among the employers currently being sued for this very issue is the Salvation Army.

In March the EEOC sued the Salvation Army because its thrift store in Framingham, Mass., required its employees to speak English on the job. The requirement was clearly posted and employees were given a year to learn the language. The EEOC claimed the store had fired two Hispanic employees for continuing to speak Spanish on the job. It said that the firings violated the law because the English-only policy was not "relevant" to job performance or safety.

What kind of insanity is this? Are we in America, or not?? What language do we speak here in America?? That's right, ENGLISH!!!

These Democrats are completely out of control, and need to be called to account for their actions. They will stop at nothing to give America away to illegal alien lawbreakers who have no desire to become Americans, speak English, or contribute in any way at all to the greatness of this country.

It's no wonder normal Americans from both parties think this Congress sucks. It does!
