Friday Quick Hits

Today's quick hits:

Quick Hit #1: Huckabee picks up big religious endorsement.
Mike Huckabee gets the endorsement of Dr. Don Wildmon, founder and chairman of the Mississippi-based American Family Association. A big win for Huckabee, who is clearly now a first-tier candidate.

Quick Hit #2: No free speech at Mt. Rushmore.
A group of people handing out Christian tracts at the entrance of the Mt. Rushmore monument were forced to stop. They didn't have a permit, but they'd tried repeatedly to obtain one without receiving any response. Ironically, Mt. Rushmore depicts the faces of our nation's greatest advocates for our freedoms.

Quick Hit #3: A recipe for black Americans' success.
Bill Cosby and Alvin F. Poussaint write that blacks must forsake their victimhood and embrace dignity and a positive attitude to achieve success. A very good lesson on black history and analysis of our times. Worth a read.

Quick Hit #4: No cross-party voting here, folks!
If Hillary Clinton is counting on a lot of Republicans voting for her, she's got another thing coming. A USA Today poll shows 84% of Reps wouldn't vote for her, 36% of women wouldn't vote for her, and 50% of men (55% of married men) wouldn't vote for her. She's got sky-high negatives, and this poll proves it! Almost half of her own party says they would not vote for her!

Quick Hit #5: Religion of peace strikes again.
In Afghanistan, the religion of peace has slaughtered 75 people and injured almost 100 more -- including dozens of school children -- in a suicide bomb. Sick, twisted, and disgusting. If it weren't for the outrage expressed in mosques all over the world, we might think this was actually representative of Islam. Oh, wait, there is no outrage...

Quick Hit #6: Congress funding illegal abortions...?
The recent lawsuit filed against Planned Parenthood in Kansas alleged over 100 counts of illegal late term abortions.
Did you know that over 1/3 of PP's funding -- hundreds of millions of dollars -- comes from the federal government?

Quick Hit #7: German man strips in court.
A German man in court to appeal a flashing conviction stunned lawyers by stripping off his clothes in the courtroom.
"It appears he sees it as art, and views himself as a living work of art," said a court spokesman. He's a work of somethin', but I don't think it's art... ;)

Have a great weekend!
