Here's an interesting poll released by Rasmussen Reports this week. It shows that although there is much to be desired about the current administration, that frustration does not necessarily translate into Democrat success in 2008. In fact, when looking at just the current crop of presidential candidates, the Democrats have no edge over the Republicans on Iraq, the Economy, or Restoring the Nation’s Optimism. Democratic candidates do have an edge when it comes to the environment while the GOP candidates hold the lead on immigration, but among the nation’s pool of unaffiliated voters, the GOP candidates also have the edge when it comes to the economy.
So, it looks like this is an even race starting out. It should be interesting to watch it play out.
There's my two cents.
