The Washington Times splashes a warning that Barry Jackson, the man appointed to replace Karl Rove, is "cool, analytical, and fiercely partisan."
In my opinion, that's an extremely good thing. Obviously, more can be done with bi-partisan support, but much of the pain that has fallen on the Bush administration is due to his 'new tone', and allowing many Clinton appointees to remain in their positions all over the federal government. That's a big reason why there have been so many leaks of national security programs, subversions of White House initiatives, and other problems.
Although it's late in his Presidency, it's about time Bush got someone in there who is done playing nice with Democrats who repeatedly stab him in the back. Let's get tough, and get some things done.
There's my two cents.
