Wal-Mart is planning to expand the number of generic drugs it offers for $4, including the equivalent of Coreg (heart medication) and Lamisil (anti-fungal). These additions would put the program to over 160 drugs (almost 400 if you include the various formulations), including about 30 prescriptions. Some additional drugs are offered at slightly higher prices ($9), too.
I love stories like this. Many liberals hate Wal-Mart for its huge success and the money that it generates, but at the same time, it's really, really hard to argue -- in this time of skyrocketing health care costs, including prescription drugs -- with offering hundreds of common drugs for just a few bucks per month.
Yet another liberal quagmire...
There's my two cents.
